Learn how to manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
What is a DSAR?
A data subject access request asks an organisation whether it processes someone’s personal data, for access to that data and for the required information about how it is used. It can be made in ordinary words, orally or in writing, without quoting GDPR or using a special form.
Course Overview
Learn what a request is, how to recognise one and the key UK and EU requirements for managing it. This online, self-paced course uses animated videos with female English narration, full transcripts, clear workplace scenarios and explained questions.
Work through eight lessons covering identity, authorised representatives, children’s requests, deadlines, searches, redaction, complete responses and secure delivery. Practise with 100 scenario decisions, including a response-pack review and an eight-stage case from receipt to follow-up.
Allow approximately three hours, including reading, practice and the final assessment. Study time varies. You may learn through the videos or their full text transcripts and save your place to return later.
Designed for customer service, HR, administration and management staff who receive or help with requests. No DPO qualification or legal background is required.

What is the course curriculum?
Eight online, self-paced lessons combine animated teaching, full video transcripts, notes, realistic scenarios and knowledge checks. Complete every scenario decision and review the feedback before completing each lesson.
The final assessment contains 20 questions selected from a 40-question bank, with shuffled questions and options. Pass with at least 80% overall and all three essential safety decisions correct. Unlimited full retakes are included. There is no compulsory listening or video timer.

Easy Enrolment
1. Choose one or two licences. Open the secure training catalogue, confirm the package and provide your booking and learner details.
2. Complete payment. The booking page takes you to the correct Revolut payment link. Retain your booking reference. DPS verifies the settled payment before access is activated; returning from checkout alone does not confirm payment.
3. Start learning. Each named learner receives their own email verification link. Complete the lessons and assessment, then download the completion certificate and full course notes.
One licence is £195.00; two licences are £295.00 total. No VAT. Each licence belongs to one named learner and cannot be transferred after completion. All places in a package share the same 12-month expiry from purchase.
